Students can apply for multiple merit scholarships at the University of Miami. First-year students who will be joining in the fall can apply for the scholarships.
University scholars are typically international students whose backgrounds, experiences, and passions enrich the university’s learning community. At the time of admission, recipients of the University of Miami First-Year Merit Scholarships are notified.
They are only eligible for one merit scholarship, though, from the Office of Undergraduate Admission. The university only offers competitive merit scholarships to first-year students starting in the spring semester.

Isaac Bashevis Singer Scholarship
The University of Miami provides the Isaac Bashevis Singer Scholarship for outstanding high school graduates who show academic excellence.
This award, named for UM lecturer and Nobel Prize-winning writer Isaac Bashevis Singer, acknowledges exceptional academic performance.
The complete cost of tuition for four years of undergraduate studies is covered for Singer scholars who are selected. The deadline for applications is November 1st.
Stamps Scholarships
Applicants for the Stamp scholarship are seniors in high school who exhibit remarkable academic achievement. The complete cost of tuition for four years of undergraduate studies is covered by the scholarship.
You will also be provided with on-campus lodging and a meal package. In addition, textbook costs, laptop allowance, and university health insurance are paid for.
Additionally, you will get a $12,000 enrichment grant that you can spend on unpaid internships or undergraduate research. The scholarship application deadline is November 1st.

Other Merit Scholarships
In addition to the scholarships listed above, you are eligible to apply for two more scholarships. The President’s Scholarship is the first.
The annual scholarship benefit might be up to $28,000. The Canes Achievement Scholarship is the second scholarship. The benefit may amount to up to $16,000 per year.
Application Deadlines for the 2024 University of Miami First-Year Merit Scholarships
You must apply by November 1st (for Early Decision I) or January 1st (for Early Action), and you must satisfy all first-year admission criteria in order to be eligible.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants to the University of Miami scholarship are required to finish their undergraduate studies there full-time, with a minimum of 24 credits earned every academic year.
They also have to keep their cumulative grade point average for the year at 3.0.
